"Mind the Gap" is your curated guide to understand the gaps in the current Dallas public transit system — how and who it is failing most, how Dallas fares against a similarly populated city, and how disparate a typical day looks like for someone who is public transit dependent compared to someone with a car. Above all, it shows why this system needs to be changed and what the audience can do about it.
The current system not only severely deprives a significant portion of the Dallas population but also negatively impacts Dallas’ economic growth and overall standard of living. This is the wake-up call that should push public officials, and the DART board in particular, to shift the focus of the agency from construction to mobility. If you want a more inclusive and equitable Dallas, start exploring.
This was a team project in which I led the conceptual development, data visualization, and interaction design work — translating dense transit research into a navigable, emotionally resonant digital 'lived' experience. The challenge wasn't just making the data accessible; it was making it feel personal enough to move a civic-minded audience from awareness to action.
